CTD arrests 10 terrorists from different cities of Punjab

LAHORE: The Anti -Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab conducted 189 intelligence -based operations(IBOs) in different cities of Punjab and arrested 10 terrorists.

Spokesman of the CTD said intelligence -based operations were carried out in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Jhelum during which 10 terrorists were arrested.

A CTD spokesperson said that two dangerous terrorists were arrested from Rawalpindi, belonging to Nankana Sahib while explosives, detonators, pamphlets and cash were recovered from the terrorists.

According to the CTD spokesman, the terrorists wanted to spread panic at various places. The CTD  arrested 263 suspects in 2053 combing operations this week, and 82473 people were questioned in combing operations.

Earlier, The Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had arrested an alleged terrorist affiliated with the banned outfit during an operation conducted in the Soldier Bazar area.

CTD spokesperson said Syed Muhammad Moosa Rizvi alias Kamran, son of Syed Nafees Abbas Rizvi, was arrested following a targeted operation. Rizvi had been in a hide, fearing arrest due to his active involvement in terrorist activities.
