NDMA predicts hot, humid weather from 22 to April 27

ISLAMABAD: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a countrywide alert for a possible heatwave  expected from today until April 27.

According to the NDMA advisory. rain is expected in several areas like Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, Gilgit- Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, the highest temperature was recorded in Jacobabad at 43’C in last 24 hours.

Spokesperson of NDMA said in highest temperature was recorded 42C in Mithi, Bhawalnagar, and Nawabshah while temperature remained 41C in Karachi, Kasur and Lasbela, respectively.  Lahore 38’C Islamabad 36’C, Peshawar 35’C, Muzafarabad 33’C, Quetta 25’C, and Gilgit 22 ‘C.

The NDMA has issued an advisory to take precautionary measures and stay hydrated as the heat wave is expected to affect large parts of the country in the coming days.
