SAHIWAL:  The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested two terrorists belonging to a banned organization along with funds intended for the purchase of weapons.

According to details, the CTD conducted an intelligence-based operation and apprehended the two terrorists. Prohibited literature and money meant for the purchase of arms were also recovered from their possession.

A CTD spokesperson stated that a case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway. The arrested individuals have been identified as Fawad Muqeet and Abdullah.

The CTD spokesman further said that the terrorist Fawad Nazimabad is a resident of Karachi while Abdullah is a resident of Kohat.

It is to be noted that in the wake of the growing terrorist acts and attacks in the country, security forces and Rangers, as well as the Anti -Terrorism Department and police, have been operating against terrorist groups and militants across the country.
