WASHINGTON: Former United States (US) president Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer and his family reviewing treatment options.

According to a foreign news agency, a statement issued by the Biden Office said that the former US president was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

On Friday, 82 -year -old Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive” type of prostate cancer that has spread to the bones, the statement said.

According to the Joe Biden Office, the former president and his family are reviewing the treatment options in conjunction with the physicians.

Joe Biden’s presidency ended on January 20.

In a statement, US President Donald Trump said he and Melania were saddened to hear about foremer president Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis.

Trump extended his best wishes to Jill Biden and the entire Biden family, offering prayers for Joe Biden’s swift and full recovery.

It should be noted that prostate cancer is a common cancer found in men that is produced in the prostate gland.

The prostate is a small gland, which is part of the men’s reproductive system.
