Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has officially announced that mango exports for the 2025 season will commence on May 25th following comprehensive consultations with the relevant stakeholders committee.

In a circular issued by the Ministry of Commerce, the launch date was confirmed, along with a reminder that all existing conditions outlined in the current Export Policy Order will remain in effect. These include regulations regarding quality control, certification, and packaging standards aimed at preserving the global reputation of Pakistani mangoes.

Pakistan exports approximately 130,000 metric tons of mangoes each year and last year alone it earned over $90 million in foreign exchange through international sales. Pakistani mangoes remain in high demand across key markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Iran, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The announcement is considered a timely step to help exporters, traders, and farmers prepare effectively for the upcoming season, reinforcing Pakistan’s growing footprint in the global mango trade.
