PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has upheld the convictions awarded by military courts, dismissing appeals filed against the sentences.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Fazal Subhan heard the appeals challenging the verdicts issued by the military courts.

During the proceedings, the Additional Attorney General argued that the convicts were affiliated with a banned organization and had confessed to their crimes before a magistrate.

He further stated that all legal requirements were fulfilled during the trial, including the provision of the right to appeal and the opportunity to engage legal counsel of choice.

Following the arguments, the court dismissed all three appeals and maintained the sentences handed down by the military courts.
