PMDC, Health Ministry resolve admission FATA, Balochistan students

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, Government of Pakistan has resolved the issue of students from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal said that the PMDC and the Ministry of Health have resolved the issue and increased the quota of students of FATA and Balochistan. A formal notification has also been issued.

He said that admission of 333 students has also been completed.

According to Higher Education Commission (HEC) merit, these children will now be eligible to study in medical colleges.

He also urged the provincial governments of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to further increase the number of seats in the coming year to accommodate more students from underprivileged regions.
