RIYADH: In a bid to prevent unauthorized Hajj pilgrimages, Saudi authorities have begun using drones for surveillance within the holy boundaries of Makkah Makrama.

These drones are actively monitoring restricted areas, enabling the authorities to track and detain hundreds of individuals daily attempting to perform Hajj without proper permits.

The advanced surveillance system is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to ensure strict compliance with Hajj regulations and maintain the safety and order of the pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia is being monitored in the limits of Makkah with the help of a drone to prevent illegal Hajj, while hundreds of people have been arrested on a daily basis with the help of drones.

Meanwhile, four Indonesian people have been detained in Makkah Makrama for a fake Hajj permit campaign.
