LAHORE: Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been shifted from jail to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after experiencing chest pain.

Rana Muddasir Advocate confirmed that the former Foreign Minister was brought to the PIC for a medical check-up, where various tests are currently being conducted.

Lawyer said Shah Mahmood Qureshi was shifted to PIC after Fajr prayer, the jail administration has also informed Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s family.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi is currently serving a conviction in Kot Lakhpat Jail in May 9 cases, before he is also imprisoned in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

It is worth noting that Shah Mahmood Qureshi was arrested last year in connection with the May 9 cases and is currently in custody at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
