According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Xi called for an immediate ceasefire in light of the deteriorating situation in the region.

The Ministry stated that the proposals emphasize four core points: ensuring the protection of civilians as a top priority, initiating dialogue and negotiations as the primary path forward, and recognizing the crucial role of the international community in supporting peace efforts.

Earlier, Russian President Valdimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a telephonic conversation, in which the two leaders strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Iran and called it a violation of international laws.
