Eid-ul-Azha being observed across Pakistan with religious spirit

KARACHI: The Eid-ul-Azha is being observed across the country today with great religious zeal and devotion. Following the Eid prayers.

The Muslims are offering animal sacrifices in commemoration of the Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi (the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him).

Eid congregations are being held in cities, towns, and villages throughout Pakistan. Devotees are participating in large numbers to perform Eid prayers, after which sacrificial animals are being slaughtered in accordance with Islamic tradition.

Strict security measures have been implemented at Eidgahs and mosques nationwide to ensure the safety of worshippers.

On the occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir extended warm Eid greetings to the nation, emphasizing the values of sacrifice, unity, and compassion.

President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eid prayers at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Mosque in Islamabad. He was accompanied by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on the occasion.

Following the prayers, the President offered special prayers for the country’s progress, prosperity, and stability. He also exchanged Eid greetings with worshippers by embracing them warmly.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayers at a mosque in Lahore’s Model Town. After the prayers, the Prime Minister met with the public, exchanged Eid greetings, and shared in the festive spirit.
