KARACHI: A residential building in the Kharadar area experienced a partial roof collapse, but all occupants were successfully evacuated without casualties, authorities confirmed.

According to police, the incident began when the roof of the fifth floor gave way, triggering a chain collapse of ceilings down to the first floor.

Rescue officials reported that 16 people were trapped at the time of the incident. The collapse occurred during rainfall, and initial findings suggest the roof had weakened due to structural decay, exacerbated by the wet weather.

Emergency teams responded swiftly, and all trapped individuals were rescued safely.

Later, rescue authorities safely evacuated all 16 people trapped in the building.
