PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has established ‘flood emergency cell’ for cater emergency like situation in monsoon season.

O the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, an ‘emergency flood cell’ has been established to ensure swift coordination and timely response during the monsoon season, according to the CM’s spokesperson Faraz Ahmed Mughal.

The public is advised to report any flood-related emergencies or request assistance by contacting the dedicated helpline numbers: +92 340 9418852 and 1177.

In anticipation of potential flooding due to heavy monsoon rains, the spokesperson urged citizens to stay away from riverbanks, streams, and low-lying areas, and to follow all instructions issued by local authorities.

Travelers were strongly advised to check the regional weather conditions before planning any trips during the monsoon season.

The spokesperson emphasized that strict adherence to precautionary measures was essential to ensure public safety in case of severe rainfall or flooding threats.
