Islamabad:  Across Pakistan, the spirit of Eid al-Adha remains vibrant on its second day, with Muslims continuing the ritual of animal sacrifice in adherence to the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). The festive atmosphere is detectable in various cities, where the day is marked by religious zeal, distribution of sacrificial meat to the needy and ongoing family gatherings and feasts.

Local authorities and sanitation departments are actively engaged in clearing animal waste and ensuring cleanliness. However, some cities have reported complaints regarding inadequate arrangements for waste disposal. Despite these challenges, citizens nationwide are performing sacrifices according to their means, offering both small and large animals.

Adding to the festive mood, many cities are also hosting Eid fairs. These lively events offer entertainment for children, including camel rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and various swings, ensuring a joyful celebration for the younger generation.

Meanwhile, health experts have issued timely advice amidst the festivities. They recommend consuming rich foods, especially those cooked with excessive ghee, oil, and strong spices, in moderation. This guidance aims to help people enjoy the delicious Eid delicacies while safeguarding their health throughout the celebratory period.
