Pakistan, Oman leaders plan future visits after eid greetings

Islamabad: On the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today held a telephonic conversation with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman. The Prime Minister extended warm Eid greetings to Sultan Haitham and the fraternal people of Oman.

During their call, both leaders prayed for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah, offering special prayers for the people of Gaza. Prime Minister Sharif also thanked Sultan Haitham for Oman’s stance during the recent crisis between Pakistan and India, appreciating Oman’s support for de-escalation and dialogue.

Acknowledging the close brotherly ties between Pakistan and Oman, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across all sectors. He reiterated his invitation to the Sultan of Oman to undertake an official visit to Pakistan. His Majesty Sultan Haitham accepted the invitation and, in turn, invited Prime Minister Sharif to pay an official visit to Oman.

It was noted that the dates for these reciprocal visits will be finalized through diplomatic channels at a mutually convenient time.
