Pakistan’s Soha Ali shines at ITF Junior event in Nigeria

KARACHI: Pakistan’s 17-year-old junior tennis player, Soha Ali, continues her impressive performance at the ongoing ITF Junior Tournament in Nigeria.

After a strong start in the girls’ doubles event at the ITF J30 in Abuja, Soha Ali also secured victory in her opening singles match.

Facing Nigeria’s wildcard entrant, Nenerot Sowa, Soha lost the first set but staged an impressive comeback, winning the next two sets to claim the match.

The Pakistani player’s winning score against the Nigerian player was 5-7, 6-2, and 6-3.

On Tuesday, Soha also won her first Girls’ Doubles match partnering with an Indian player. Soha and India’s Siddharth Kaur will be in action today for the Girls’ Doubles semifinals.

Her resilience and form highlight her rising potential on the international junior tennis circuit.
