  1. Pakistan has neither any interest nor incentive to attack the US, which is Pakistan’s largest export market, vital trading partner with valuable influence over IFIs and hosts a large and dynamic Pakistani diaspora which makes valuable and regular contribution to Pakistani economy in the form of substantial foreign exchange remittances.

It would be irrational to consider such a country with improving and mutually beneficial bilateral relations in several domains as a threat and try to hit it with ballistic missiles.

  1. The longest ballistic missile which Pakistan has so far tested is 2,750 km range S-3 which proves that its doctrine is Indo-centric that aims to deter and defeat any Indian attempt to attack Pakistan through a credible minimum deterrence. Pakistan is not in an arms race even with India let alone any other global power.
  2. Shift the debate towards India: Pakistan is a responsible and rational nuclear armed state, in stark contrast to its eastern neighbour which is not only developing, has tested and demonstrated ICBMs like Agni-V, has 2 operational nuclear armed SSBNs alongwith the largest unsafeguarded nuclear program in the entire developing world, which proves that its strategic ambitions, developing nuclear capabilities and targets are not restricted to China or Pakistan and New Delhi can actually target the US if its extremist leadership decides to do so.

Therefore, international media and think tanks must not ignore the grave and growing threat which Indian strategic reality poses to the world but increasingly to the Western interests, instead of promoting fake Indian propaganda without any technical evidence, that is clearly timed and aimed at trying  to  spoil the improving Pak-US bilateral relations across several domains.
