Pipri Pumping Station shut down due to cable fault

KARACHI: The Pipri Pumping Station has been completely shut down following a cable fault at the site, causing a complete halt in the station’s operations.

According to K-E Spokesperson, the fault occurred at approximately 10:15 PM last night, and repair work is still underway. The fault disrupted power supply causing a complete halt in the station’s operations.

The outage has resulted in the complete closure of the pumping station, which supplies approximately 145 million gallons of water daily to Karachi.

Water Board officials confirmed the situation, stating that the closure of the station will impact water distribution in several key areas, including Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, Baloch Colony, and DHA.
