PM Shehbaz summons NSC meeting today after US strikes

ISLAMABAD:  Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC), scheduled to be held today at 12 PM at the Prime Minister’s House.

According to sources, high-level meeting will be attended by both civil and military leadership. Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is expected to brief participants on his recent visit to the United States.

The forum will hold a detailed discussion on the evolving Iran-Israel-US tensions, along with a comprehensive review of the country’s internal and border security situation.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Defence, Interior Minister, Finance Minister, and other key officials will also participate in the meeting.

The session will include consultations on the ongoing Iran-Israel-US tensions, with major decisions likely regarding Pakistan’s support for Iran and other key matters.

The internal security and border situation of the country will also be reviewed in detail during the meeting.
