Tragic bus fire claims five lives near Quetta’s Western Bypass

QUETTA:  A tragic incident occurred near the Western Bypass in Quetta, where a passenger bus caught fire, resulting in the loss of several lives.

According to rescue officials, the fire broke out suddenly while the bus was en route. Emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert.

Rescue personnel managed to evacuate the injured from the burning vehicle and transported them to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, while efforts are ongoing to confirm the total number of casualties.

Rescue officials said five people were killed and eight were injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, Government of Balochistan has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus fire incident that claimed several lives near the Western Bypass in Quetta.

In a statement, the provincial government’s spokesperson said, “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the passengers who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident.”

Government representative Shahid Rind confirmed that all injured passengers are being provided with immediate and high-quality medical care. “We are ensuring the best possible treatment and facilities for the injured,” he added.

The spokesperson further stated that a formal investigation into the incident has been launched. “Once the inquiry is complete, strict action will be taken against those found responsible,” said Shahid Rind.

The government has also assured that all affected families will receive full support and assistance during this difficult time.
