Islamabad: Pakistan’s entertainment industry is mourning the tragic deaths of two well-known artists, Humaira Asghar and Ayesha Khan.

Their bodies were recovered from their flats days after their passing, raising significant questions about the pressures, loneliness, and societal apathy prevalent within the industry.

Following these heartbreaking incidents, renowned artists Tauseeq Haider and Laila Zuberi, in collaboration with “Act Pakistan,” organized a special prayer ceremony in Islamabad. The event saw the participation of numerous actors, anchors, and other personalities from the showbiz fraternity.

During the ceremony, prayers were offered for the departed actresses, and tributes were paid to their artistic contributions. Attendees expressed their sorrow, stating that these tragedies represent a major societal issue requiring serious consideration.

The initiative for prayer and solidarity has been widely praised on social media. One user commented, “May Allah grant the departed sisters a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous (the highest paradise),” while another remarked that this was a positive step by the artist community.
