QUETTA: At least three people, including a child and two youngsters, lost their lives in separate incidents during heavy rainfall in the Balochistan districts of Washuk, Loralai, and Musakhel.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported that several houses were damaged due to flash floods in various areas. In Washuk district, the floods caused partial damage to residential structures, boundary walls, and agricultural lands.

According to PDMA officials, a girl was killed due to severe torrential rains in Loralai district, killing two young Abdul Halim and Jamal Din due to lightning fall in Musakhel district.

Authorities say that heavy storms with torrential rains in Loralai district and Surab District have damaged several homes and solar panels.

On the other hand, PDMA has forecast the possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow in the districts of Dera Bugti, Naseerabad, and Sohbatpur.

Director General PDMA Jahan Zeb Khan said PDMA is ready to deal with the possible emergencies created by the rains while the concerned departments have also been alerted.
