LARKANA: A female doctor, Dr. Majida Mashori, was injured after being shot during robbery attempt in Larkana.

According to initial reports, Dr. Mashori had arrived at a private medical center to visit a patient.

As she got out of a rickshaw on Ladies Jail Road, two armed men allegedly attempted to snatch her purse. When she resisted, the suspects shot her in the chest and fled the scene.

The injured doctor was immediately shifted to the Trauma and Emergency Response Centre at Chandka Hospital, Larkana, where an operation is currently underway.

Police confirmed the incident was a case of robbery resistance, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the culprits.

Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry arrived at the Trauma Center as soon as the incident was reported. He said investigations are underway.
