Karachi: Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has publicly expressed her displeasure over viral social media videos in which fellow actors are seen imitating host and actor Sahir Lodhi.

Currently circulating on social media, several videos from Sahir Lodhi’s own Instagram account mimic the style of Indian paparazzi. These videos appear to be staged, with Lodhi seemingly unaware he’s being filmed by his own cameraman, and subsequently shared on his personal page.

While social media users have been making amusing comments on these videos, now even fellow actors, including director and actor Yasir Nawaz, Faisal Qureshi, and Ejaz Aslam, have joined in, creating their own parodies in a similar vein. Yasir Nawaz reportedly initiated this trend of mimicking Sahir Lodhi’s style, leading other artists to follow suit.

Actress Mehwish Hayat responded to this trend, voicing her disapproval. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “Sahir Lodhi has carved a unique place for himself in this industry, and he continues to maintain that position, which is respectable and not at all easy.”

Mehwish Hayat emphasized, “You might dislike someone’s style, but that person’s basic respect should always be maintained.” She advised everyone to practice kindness and civility.

The actress further stated, “It is extremely inappropriate and unfair to mock someone. People have forgotten that Sahir is also a human being and has emotions and feelings, just like all of us.”
