Islamabad: Following special directives from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has instructed all national sports federations to obtain prior permission before participating in any sporting event in India.

This new directive, formalized during the 34th meeting of the PSB Board on July 23, 2025, was issued due to security concerns.

According to the circular, no national federation can commit or agree to participate in any event in India without first consulting with and getting authorization from the Pakistan Sports Board.

The PSB has emphasized that all federations must strictly adhere to this policy, underscoring the government’s heightened focus on security protocols for national teams traveling to India.
