LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has decided to privatize 11 passenger trains in a move aimed at improving travel facilities and increasing revenue.

According to a spokesperson for the department, the decision has been made to enhance the quality of services offered to passengers and to strengthen the financial performance of the national railway network.

Spokesman Railways said that under the decision, 11 trains would be privatized, including Hazara Express, Bahauddin Zakaria Express, Millat Express, Rawal and Badar Express.

Meanwhile, Ghauri Express, Ravi Express, Thal Express, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Mohenjo Daro Passenger will also be privatized.

Further details regarding the privatization process, timelines, and selected routes are expected to be announced soon
