KARACHI:  The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rainfall in various parts of Sindh beginning today.

According to PMD Spokesperson Anjum Nazir, monsoon currents are entering the southeastern regions of the province.

Under this weather system, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Mithi, and surrounding areas are expected to receive rain from today until July 5, he added. Karachi, meanwhile, is likely to experience light rain and drizzle during this period.

The Meteorological Department said that Karachi may receive mild rains from July 8 to 11, but weather in Karachi is likely to remain cloudy and humid today.

Earlier, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted dust storms and rain across all districts of upper Sindh, offering potential relief from the ongoing heatwave.
