Web Desk: Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik faces public backlash after posting pictures of an outdoor lunch with his son, Azhaan Mirza Malik, on social media.

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is under fire after sharing photos of an outdoor lunch with his son, Azhaan Mirza Malik, in Dubai. Once a cricket star, Malik’s personal life, especially his marital history, now frequently draws public criticism.

In a recent Instagram post, he captioned “Lunch with my best friend,” triggered a wave of negative comments, reflecting public disapproval of his past actions and their perceived impact on his son.

The couple married in 2010, and after eight years, their first son was born on October 30, 2018. Their marriage officially ended in January 2024. Subsequently, in the same month, he married actress Sana Javed.

The public’s response to Malik’s photo with Azhaan highlights strong feelings about parental duties after divorce.

Social media users voiced firm opinions, with one fan remarking, “When parents’ divorce, the child becomes a cat of both homes. I believe one shouldn’t think of children in the first five years; understanding each other is crucial.”

Another user criticized Malik, stating, “Sometimes taking a child for lunch or dinner doesn’t create friendship; it only increases distance”.
