Three wanted TTP militants killed in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: In a successful intelligence-based operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed three wanted militants near the Bhattani Canal in Sarai Naurang area.

According to CTD officials, the slain militants were affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were involved in multiple acts of terrorism.

The CTD said the dead terrorists were wanted in attacks on police and law enforcement personnel, 4 hand grenades, Kalashnikovs, cartridges and 2 mobile phones were recovered from the terrorists.

On the other hand, a robbery suspect in police custody was killed in an alleged encounter in Lahore’s Muslim Town area, according to the Crime Control Department (CCD).

Officials said the suspect, identified as Shehzad, was being taken for investigation in a robbery case when two unidentified armed men opened fire on the police party near Muslim Town. In the ensuing exchange of fire, Shehzad was killed on the spot, while the attackers managed to flee.

CCD officials added that Shehzad was wanted in multiple cases, including murder, attempted murder, and robbery. A search operation is underway to trace his accomplices.
