Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light drizzle in Karachi over the coming days, with the city expected to remain partly cloudy and humid today.

According to the PMD, sea breezes in Karachi have subsided, leading to elevated humidity levels, currently recorded at 79%. Over the next three days Karachi’s maximum temperature could reach 35 degrees Celsius. This increase in humidity is anticipated to intensify the perceived heat. Light winds are presently blowing from the south.

In other parts of the country, Lahore experienced a pleasant change in weather following rainfall in various areas, including Davis Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Gowalmandi, Garhi Shahu, Dharampura, Regal Mall Road, Cantt, Faisal Town, and Township. Several other cities across Punjab also reported light drizzles.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower Dir witnessed heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in multiple locations. Mingora city and its surrounding areas also reported similar intense downpours.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, along with their vicinities, saw a welcome shift in weather due to heavy rainfall. The precipitation in the twin cities led to a notable rise in the water level of Nullah Lai. Rainfall measurements included 65 millimeters in Syedpur Village, 32 mm in Golra, 20 mm in Bokra, 26 mm in Shamsabad, 10 mm in Katchery, 16 mm in Pirwadhai, and 40 mm in Sector H-8.
