KARACHI: Veteran Pakistani television actress Atiqa Odho has revealed that her marriage is under strain due to her professional commitments.

Speaking candidly in a recent interview alongside her husband Dr. Samar Khan, Atiqa shared that hosting television shows has affected her personal life. “My relationship with my husband is at risk,” she admitted. “He feels that I spend all my time involved in these dramas.”

“My relationship with my husband is at risk,” Atiqa said. “He complains that I spend all my time on these dramas.” The actress explained that a career in acting requires sincerity and dedication, which means constant preparation and focus.

This intense commitment, she says, leaves her with little time for her personal life. Addressing her audience, she jokingly added, “The atmosphere in my house is being ruined because of you people.”

Atiqa’s difficult childhood, marked by her parents’ divorce when she was just eight and the passing of her father from cancer at 43, has deeply influenced her views on family and relationships.

This led her to marry young in pursuit of a stable family structure. She was married at 15 and again at 21, before her third marriage to politician Samar Ali Khan in 2012.

The actress’s open remarks have sparked discussions around the challenges of balancing career and personal relationships in the entertainment industry.
