Committee formed to probe Lawyer’s murder in Karachi

KARACHI: Authorities have constituted a six-member investigation committee to probe the murder of prominent Karachi-based lawyer Shams-ul-Islam.

According to a notification issued by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South has been appointed as the head of the committee.

The investigation team includes SSP Keamari, SP Investigation South, SP Clifton, DSP Keamari, DSP Investigation Clifton, SHO Darakhshan, and the case investigation officer.

The committee will lead efforts to uncover the circumstances and individuals behind the targeted killing.

The committee will investigate the Shams -ul -Islam murder case and oversee all steps from the arrest of the attacker to the court.

DIG South has issued a formal notification for the formation of the Investigation Committee.
