KARACHI: Tremors were felt in different parts of the country, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

According to the Meteorological Department’s Seismic Monitoring Centre. The earthquake created panic among residents in the affected areas.

The earthquake tremors were felt at 10pm and 20 minutes and the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.2 on the Richter scale. The earthquake center said that the depth of the earthquake was 190 km and its center was Hindu Kush Region Afghanistan.

According to reports, no casualties have been reported so far as a result of the earthquake.

Earlier, Weather in Karachi took a welcome turn early this morning, as a brief shower brought much-needed relief from the recent spell of heat and humidity, leaving the city feeling refreshingly cool.

The light to moderate rain was recorded in several parts of the city, including Shahrah-e-Faisal, Airport, Model Colony, and Landhi.

Other areas such as I.I. Chundrigar Road, Defence, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and Nazimabad and many areas experienced significant rainfall, making the morning commute refreshing for many. The sudden change in weather helped reduce the intensity of the recent heat and humidity across the city.
