The newly announced romantic comedy Ludo, starring renowned Pakistani actors Farhan Saeed and Kinza Hashmi, has stirred disappointment among audiences even before its release. The casting decision has drawn public criticism, particularly after the duo’s previous drama Shireen Farhad failed to make an impact.

Farhan Saeed, celebrated for his performances in hit dramas such as Udaari, Mere Humsafar, and Suno Chanda, has recently struggled to maintain that momentum. While his fans have been eagerly anticipating a fresh comeback, the announcement of Ludo with the same co-star has left many disheartened. Kinza Hashmi, despite her popularity and charm in roles like those in Khushboo Mein Basay Khat, hasn’t been able to sway the public in this pairing.

Directed and written by Abu Aleeha, the film is set in Karachi, but early reactions on social media have been overwhelmingly skeptical. Viewers have expressed frustration, with comments like “Why pair them again?”, “Choose talent, not friendship,” and “Give us something fresh not another flop.”

The audience’s disappointment suggests that expectations from Ludo are already under pressure. Whether the film can change public opinion remains to be seen.
