Talking about the nature of love, Maya reflected, “Love happens why it shouldn’t? But whether it happens with the right person or not, that’s what truly matters. Sometimes, the connection just isn’t there. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe they are it’s not always me who’s right.”

She acknowledged that love isn’t always easy and that building a real relationship requires effort, understanding, and emotional maturity.

On the subject of marriage, Maya was clear about her stance “I haven’t married yet because I don’t believe in doing it just to avoid people’s questions, or because I’ve crossed a certain age, or someone has found a ‘suitable’ option for me,” she said.

She stressed that marriage is a major life decision involving not just two individuals, but two families as well and should be based on genuine compatibility, not urgency or societal pressure. Laughing, she added: “I’ll get married the day the dollar becomes cheap because right now, inflation is too high!”

During a rapid-fire segment, Maya revealed some fun facts about herself. She prefers night shoots over day ones, chooses tea over coffee, and is a big fan of Karachi’s food scene. She also named actors Bilal Ashraf and Wahaj Ali as her favorites.

In a surprising anecdote, she shared an unusual experience with a devoted fan, “There was one fan who took thousands of my pictures I still don’t know how or why. It left me genuinely confused!”
