QUETTA: Mobile internet services began restoring in Quetta on Thursday after remaining suspended for 16 days, following orders of the Balochistan High Court(BHC).

A BHC bench comprising Chief Justice Rozi Khan Barrech and Justice Sardar Ahmed Halimi heard a constitutional petition against the suspension of mobile internet services, during which relevant officials appeared before the court.

Officials informed the Balochistan High Court that mobile internet data services have started to restore in Quetta following the court’s directive, though other cities in the province remain without access.

The High Court had ordered the concerned authorities to ensure restoration of mobile internet data services in Quetta within two hours.

After the court order, the mobile phone internet service began to be restored in Quetta for 16 days.
