Nine killed in tragic road accident in Lasbela district

Lasbela, Balochistan: At least nine people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in the Othal area of Lasbela district, rescue officials confirmed on Friday.
According to the rescue authorities, the incident occurred when a passenger coach collided with two vehicles. Emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.
According to rescue sources, the deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Younus, 22-year-old Abdullah, 18-year-old Anees, 20-year-old Abdullah, 16-year-old Yaseen, 25-year-old Shakeel, 32-year-old Shakoor, 20-year-old Ghafoor, and 25-year-old Hanif.
The injured were immediately shifted to Othal Civil Hospital, where officials said they are being provided the best possible medical care.
Spokesperson for the Balochistan Government, Shahid Rind, stated that the district administration and rescue authorities were promptly directed to carry out emergency relief operations. He added that police and rescue teams responded swiftly, transferring bodies and the injured to the hospital without delay.
He further said that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, stressing the urgent need for strict compliance with traffic regulations.
