Karachi: The Pakistan U-19 volleyball team has clinched the 13th position in the World U-19 Volleyball Championship by defeating host nation Uzbekistan with a commanding 3-0 victory.

The win came in a play-off match for the 13th and 14th positions, where Pakistan swept the host team without dropping a single set.

In the match played in Tashkent, Pakistan dominated from the start, comfortably winning the first set 25-18. The team maintained its momentum, securing the second set with an identical score of 25-18. In the third and decisive set, Pakistan once again came out on top, finishing with a score of 25-18 to seal the victory.

It is worth noting that Pakistan was eliminated from the Round of 16 after a narrow 3-2 defeat to world number 1 Poland, a loss that was attributed to what was described as substandard umpiring.
