BANKOK: India faced yet another defeat on the sporting front as Pakistan’s candidate secured a resounding victory in the elections for the Board of Directors of the Asian Boxing Confederation.

In the South Asia region contest, Pakistan’s Mohammad Khalid Mehmood went head-to-head against India’s Ajay Singh. Khalid Mehmood won decisively, receiving 18 votes compared to Ajay Singh’s 9.
