LAHORE: The Sikh community has lauded Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, for timely relief operations at the flood-affected Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.

During his recent visit to the flood-hit areas of Punjab, including Sialkot, Shakargarh, Narowal, and Kartarpur, Field Marshal Asim Munir assured the Sikh community of the swift restoration of all their places of worship affected by floods.

The community expressed gratitude for the Army Chief’s commitment and timely response to protect and rehabilitate their sacred site.

Sikh community leader Ramesh Singh Arora has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Field Marshal Asim Munir for the timely relief operations in flood-affected areas, stating that Pakistan is their homeland and their pride.

He said that soldiers of the Pakistan Army stood firm until the safe evacuation of the last individual. Arora added that Field Marshal Munir’s decision to sit with the Sikh community has elevated the pride of Sikhs around the world.

“Within 24 hours, the efforts you made after the floods are beyond words. When the world learns that the Field Marshal himself visited Kartarpur, the respect of Sikhs will further rise,” he remarked.

Arora emphasized that Sikhs across the globe acknowledge Pakistan as the safest country for minorities.
