Dubai: The Pakistan cricket team is optimistic ahead of today’s Asia Cup match against the United Arab Emirates, with all preparations finalized.

According to team sources, Pakistan is ready for the crucial encounter and the match will take place as scheduled. However, the team will play without match referee Andy Pycroft, as he has reportedly not been accepted by the Pakistan side.

Meanwhile, sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have indicated that Richie Richardson is likely to be appointed as the match referee for the Pakistan vs UAE fixture.

It is important to note that the PCB had previously demanded the removal of Andy Pycroft from officiating in Asia Cup matches involving Pakistan. PCB sources have reaffirmed that Pakistan will not participate in the remaining matches if Pycroft continues in the role of match referee.
