Charlie Kirk, Trump ally, shot and killed with manhunt underway

Washington: American conservative analyst Charlie Kirk has been killed in an assassination attempt.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Charlie Kirk’s death, stating that no one understood the mindset of American youth better than Kirk. He announced that flags across the U.S. would be flown at half-mast until Sunday. Kirk had been critically injured in a shooting at Utah Valley University.

He underwent surgery, which unfortunately was not successful. The shooter has not yet been apprehended. Charlie Kirk was shot during a speech in which he was discussing transgender issues. He was also known for his strong criticism of the Ukrainian government.

Kirk opposed military aid to Ukraine and advocated for the restoration of diplomatic relations with Russia.
