Renowned Chinese actor Yu Menglong has died after falling from the fifth floor of a residential building in Beijing. He was just 37.

According to foreign media reports, Yu Menglong best known for his breakout role in the 2017 hit drama Eternal Love passed away in the Chaoyang district of Beijing. The incident reportedly occurred two days after the actor had attended a dinner gathering at a friend’s home.

“It’s heartbreaking. He was a talented artist and a kind soul,” shared one of Yu’s fans on social media, where tributes have been pouring in since the news broke.

Authorities have confirmed the start of an official investigation. “The cause of death is currently under examination,” said a spokesperson from the local police department.

According to media accounts, Yu Menglong had joined a friend for dinner and later went to sleep in the guest bedroom around 2:00 AM. The next morning, the host reportedly attempted to wake him but received no response. Upon checking the bedroom, he discovered it empty.
