KASUR: In a heartwarming turn of events, floodwaters could not prevent a wedding in Punjab’s Kasur district, where a groom reached his bride’s home by boat.

Majid Dogar, a resident of Ganja Kalan, set off with his wedding procession for Hujra Shah Muqeem. However, the route was submerged due to floodwater, blocking access to the bride’s village.

With no other option, the groom and his relatives sought the assistance of Rescue 1122, who provided a boat to ferry the wedding party across. The ceremony was successfully held at the bride’s home.

The sight of the groom and his procession arriving on a boat drew public attention, and videos of the unusual wedding quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion.
