KARACHI: Security sources have confirmed that notorious terrorist Gul Rahman, alias Ustad Murid, associated with Fitna al-Hindustan, has been killed in Afghanistan.

According to reports, Gul Rahman was the mastermind behind the deadly Jaffar Express attack. Indian media and social media accounts have also claimed that he was killed in Afghanistan’s Helmand province on September 17, 2025.

According to security officials, Gul Rahman served as an operational commander and was directly involved in orchestrating multiple attacks targeting Pakistan’s security forces, Chinese nationals, civilians, and various institutions.

Sources added that Fitna al-Hindustan has been behind a series of deadly attacks against innocent civilians, security personnel, and projects linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

It is worth recalling that in March this year, the terrorist outfit carried out a brutal attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan’s Bolan district, martyring 26 people. In a subsequent operation, security forces killed 33 militants and successfully rescued over 350 hostages.
