On Thursday, FIFA officially presented three vibrant characters that will become the symbols of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. For the first time in history, the tournament will be held across three countries — the USA, Canada, and Mexico — and each of them is represented in the new mascots.

Canada will be represented by a moose named Maple. According to the concept, he travels across the country, bringing people together and discovering cultural diversity. Maple loves street art and music, plays as a goalkeeper, and symbolizes creativity, resilience, and independence.

Mexico’s mascot is the jaguar Zayu, inspired by the nation’s rich heritage and energy. His name is associated with unity and joy. On the pitch, Zayu plays as a striker, dazzling defenders with his ingenuity and agility. Beyond football, he embodies Mexican traditions — from dance to national cuisine.

The USA will be represented by the bald eagle Clutch. His character reflects the spirit of adventure and optimism. On the field, Clutch acts as a true leader in midfield — inspiring his team and helping them overcome challenges, while off the field he unites people with his energy and passion for sport.
