ABU DHABI: Pakistan will lock horns with Sri Lanka today in a must-win Super Four encounter at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, with both sides desperate to revive their Asia Cup 2025 campaigns after early setbacks.

Salman Ali Agha’s Pakistan side enters the match under pressure, having suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of arch-rivals India. A win today is crucial not only to restore team morale but also to keep semifinal hopes alive. “This is the moment to reset and respond with intent,” said a team source ahead of the match.

For Sri Lanka, the situation is equally dire. A disappointing four-wicket loss to Bangladesh in their opening Super Four match has left them on the brink of elimination. Despite setting a target of 169, the Sri Lankan bowlers failed to defend it, putting immense pressure on the squad heading into today’s clash.

Probable Playing XIs:

Pakistan:
Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha (C), Hasan Nawaz, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (WK), Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed
