Pakistan starts receiving applications for private Hajj scheme today

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that applications under the private Hajj scheme are now open, bringing relief for intending pilgrims.

According to the ministry’s statement, private Hajj operators are required to give priority to applicants who were unable to perform Hajj last year and must submit an affidavit confirming the completion of their registration.

The ministry confirmed that the quota for private Hajj operators has been fixed at 60,000. This includes 22,097 pilgrims from last year, while an additional 37,903 new applicants will be able to perform Hajj this year under the scheme.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed private Hajj operators to give priority to applicants who were unable to perform Hajj last year. Operators are also required to submit an affidavit confirming the completion of their registration.

According to the ministry’s notification, the quota for private Hajj operators has been fixed at 60,000. This includes 22,097 pilgrims from last year, along with 37,903 new applicants who will be able to perform Hajj this year under the private scheme.
