Pakistan to witness blood moon on Sept 7–8

KARACHI:  Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that the country will witness the b second total lunar eclipse(blood moon) for 2025 on the night of September 7–8.

According to the PMD, the eclipse will also be visible across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North and South America.

As per Pakistan Standard Time (PST): The penumbral phase will begin at 8:28 PM on September 7.The partial eclipse will commence at 9:27 PM. The total eclipse will start at 10:31 PM.

Meanwhile, the PMD also confirmed that the second and final partial solar eclipse of the year will occur on September 21–22.

This solar eclipse will be visible in the southern parts of Australia, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and Antarctica, but it will not be visible from Pakistan.
