Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have reportedly stated that Pakistan will not participate in upcoming matches unless match referee Andy Pycroft is removed. Final decision on their participation expected to be made today in Lahore, sources

A decision regarding Pakistan’s future participation in the ongoing Asia Cup is expected later today. Given the sensitivity of the situation, the PCB has begun reviewing all aspects and is likely to make an official announcement soon.

As per the schedule, Pakistan is set to play its next match tomorrow against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, the ongoing controversy surrounding Andy Pycroft has cast uncertainty over the team’s participation.

Sources further revealed that the Pakistan team is currently in Dubai and remains unaware of the ICC’s most recent ruling by the match referee, which has further complicated matters.

Insiders close to the PCB say the board is considering all options carefully and aims to take a final decision promptly to ensure the players’ mental focus is restored and Pakistan’s position in the tournament is made clear.
